Date powder is a natural sweetness enhancer that has been used for centuries by the people of the Middle East and Asia. It has more nutritional benefits than regular sugar.
It's made from natural dates that are pitted, dried and ground to a fine powder consistency.
It can be used in place of regular sugar in most baked goods, candies, desserts, frostings, icings, jams, jellies, marmalades, sauces and gravies. It has a very low Glycemic Index rating (GI) of 32 which is much lower than table sugar.
